Students Vs. Staff Charity Football Match 24 May

The annual University of Portsmouth Students vs Staff Charity Football match is back for 2019 at the home of Portsmouth FC, Fratton Park!

Now in its 4th year, the students versus staff football match demonstrates how the University can come together to give back to the local community and beyond. The match will be played on Friday 24 May, with doors opening from 6.00pm and kick off at 7.00pm. The game can be the perfect break from revision, or the perfect way to celebrate the end of exams.

This event is made up of two teams who have been carefully selected and will represent different areas of the University community. Each player aims to raise at least £250 for charity. Last year, this event raised over £16,000 and we’re hoping to raise more this year!

The players have been revealed and tickets are now on sale! All funding raised from ticket sales will be donated to charity.

When: Friday 24 May, 6.00pm – 10.00pm (Kick-Off at 7.00pm)
Where: Fratton Park, Portsmouth
Price: £5 (free for children aged 16 and under)

This event is not-for-profit and all proceeds will be split 50/50 between Pompey in the Community and Brain Tumour Research.

Parking will be available for free at Fratton Park, but spaces are limited.
Food and drink will be available to purchase within the stadium.
A raffle will also take place, with all proceeds going towards charity and will count towards our fundraising total! One ticket will set you back £1 with a strip of five costing £5. We have some fantastic prizes on offer included a signed Pompey shirt and ball, free tickets to a Pompey game next season, as well as beauty vouchers, restaurant vouchers and much more. We’ll be drawing winners after the match at 9.30pm.
