To its fans Twitter is a way of keeping updated. To its sceptics, it is a world of trivial ‘celeb-dom’ and a place for individuals to blow their own trumpet. Come and make up your own mind at our #BusinessTalk with David Wilding, Director of Planning at Twitter UK, and a panel of experts including Dr Dan Nunan, Head of Marketing Subject Group, and Regine Freeman, Senior Teaching Fellow at the University. This event encourages you to think of Twitter as part of your overall social media strategy, consider how it is different from other social media platforms and the opportunities (and challenges) it provides. You will learn how that there is no ‘right way’ to use Twitter for your business and it is important to do the right thing for your business and adopt social media in a way that fits in your marketing strategy. David Wilding will help you to understand the opportunities that Twitter provides for businesses, whilst our panel of experts will present the latest research on building and engaging with communities on social media, and highlight both the myths and realities of social media community building. Showcasing examples, including those from local organisations based in Portsmouth, we will present a number of actionable insights that you can take back to implement in your own businesses.
The event will conclude with a Question and Answer session where you can share your own experience and challenges, and seek feedback from our expert panel.
