Stress, expressivity and social networks

We are seeking adults aged 18-35 and 50+ to take part in experimental research looking at how expressivity relates to social network size. Participants will be asked to watch emotive videos, complete questionnaires, a computer sorting task and a stress task (which involves submerging your hand in cold water while wearing electrodes). Participants will be video recorded intermittently throughout the study. 

Volunteers must be:

  • Age: 18-35 and 50+
  • Gender: Either
  • Staff/Student: Both

  • Duration: 90 minutes

Participants must not have any known cardivascular health conditions or suffer from chronic stress. Participants must not be allergic to plasters or surgical spirit. Participants must have normal or corrected vision.
