New car sharing platform for staff to save money and reduce air pollution

A new journey sharing service will help staff save money and reduce their environmental impact when commuting into work.

EasitSHARE allows you to find someone to share your journey to work with. The tool can match you up with someone else going the same way, and you can agree to car share, saving on fuel and parking costs, and reducing air pollution in Portsmouth city centre. You can also find someone else to share a journey with whether by bike, train, bus, motorcycle, taxi, or on foot.

A new journey sharing platform will help you find a commute buddy.

With EasitSHARE you can find fellow commuters from a greater pool of people – not just colleagues within the University, but at other local employers such as Portsmouth City Council and more. EasitSHARE replaces the previous journey sharing platform, Liftshare.

You’ll also be eligible for a Car Sharing parking permit for the University car parks, which allows you to put two registration numbers on one permit.

About Easit

Easit aims to make commuting easier, greener and healthier, and also offers access to different discounts and initiatives, such as 15% off South Western Railway and Southern Railway tickets, savings on bikes and accessories, and discount on car hire.

Colleagues can register on the Easit website, or find out more about other ways to save money on your commute on the University’s Travel to Work pages.
