School Governors Workshop

A photo of a meeting

Staff who currently volunteer as school governors are invited to a workshop to discuss ideas about how the University can better support them.

We’re aware that a number of colleagues give up their time in these important roles to raise educational standards at local primary schools, secondary schools and colleges.

The workshop will include presentations and round table discussions, followed by a free lunch and networking opportunity.

It will be led by Sherria Hoskins, UEB Civic Lead and Executive Dean of the Faculty for Science and Health, Alison Thorne-Henderson, Executive Director of Human Resources, and Mark Cooper, Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education Partnerships).

Date: Tuesday, 10 December

Time: 11.00am – 12.30pm (workshop from 11.00am, networking lunch from 12:00pm)

Venue: St. George’s Building 0.13.

Register on Eventbrite (first come, first served)

If you’re unavailable for the workshop but would like to contribute your ideas and comments, please add them to this Google Form
