Marketing Portal: new poster templates and University Christmas card revealed

In the latest release of the Marketing Portal, you can now access newly designed templates for postcards, posters, flyers, leaflets and banners, giving you a greater range of choice for your marketing materials.

You will find the new templates as a design option when creating postcards, posters, flyers, leaflets and banners. The new templates rely on one strong image rather than the multiple images that the original templates required.

You will see that there are some options that also have an additional narrow image on the template. These are preset images that can be selected from a collection of texture photographs from around the city, helping to bring a sense of place into our marketing material. Further preset images that are faculty-specific will be added shortly.

In the portal, choose from a range of designs to suit your needs. Add your text and images to the set locations that have pre-defined font type and image sizing. You will need to provide a print requisition number and cost centre code as part of the process to cover print costs.

Completed templates then go to the Corporate Communications Team for review to ensure the design of the poster is on brand (both text and visuals) prior to going to Print Services for printing.

For a more detailed guide on creating your templates go to the ‘Getting Started’ section of the Marketing Portal.

If you require a large format item such as A1/A2, used for things like exhibitions or research case studies, please contact the Corporate Communications team as these need a greater level of design.

2019 Christmas card

The University of Portsmouth Christmas card is now available to order and download from the Marketing Portal. You can personalise the text on the inside of your printed card, as part of the ordering process.

We would encourage you to share the automated e-card as a more sustainable approach. However, we appreciate that some people may wish to send printed cards. Printing Services always ensure that paper stocks are from sustainable and controlled sources, manufactured to environmental standards and that the cards are printed on demand so there is zero wastage.

Printed Christmas cards are 25p each including an envelope, with a minimum order quantity of 10. After creating your personalised card, order to delivery will take 3-5 working days depending on your chosen delivery method.

Please take care when personalising your cards as this will go straight to print and is not proofread.

If you need help using the marketing portal or have questions about the Christmas card please email and for further information on printing email
