Looking for pairs to take part in lie-detection research

Research Title: ‘It takes two to lie’: Analysing differences between truthful and deceptive pairs.

Researchers at the University of Portsmouth are interested in interviews that help magnify the verbal and non-verbal differences between truth telling and lying pairs. In this study, you and your friend will take part in a secret missions. Depending on which task you are allocated to, you may be required to lie when interviewed.

The study takes approximately 60 minutes, and will include a mission and an interview. You will receive a £5 amazon voucher for taking part in the study.

Ethics approval number: FHSS 2019-023

Volunteers must be:

  • Age: 18+
  • Gender: Either
  • Staff/Student: Both
