Staff invited to get involved in Trade Mission to Bangladesh

Colleagues are being invited to get involved in a new Trade Mission from the city of Portsmouth to Bangladesh in November.

The citywide project is led by the University and Portsmouth City Council, and aims to foster education and trade links between the city and Bangladesh. It will culminate in Portsmouth signing a new twin city agreement with Sylhet, one Bangladesh’s largest cities.

For the University, the project could mean new recruitment and research links to the country, building on those that are already in place across the organisation. The initiatives that emerge could also help new students from Bangladesh settle in to life in Portsmouth more easily.

As well as the Council and the University, local colleges and businesses are also being invited to participate.
