Work for the University this summer

We are recruiting casual staff to work with the Department of Student and Academic Administration (DSAA). This department aims to enhance the student experience and is running three key events over the summer, where they need some extra help:

  • Graduation Assistant: 10-19 July. Deadline for applications: 24 June 2019 – NOW CLOSED
  • Confirmation and Clearing Assistant: 12 – 18 August. Deadline for applications: 15 July 2019
  • Registration Assistant: 12 September – 11 October. Deadline for applications: 16 August (please note this position is still subject to confirmation and we cannot guarantee availability of work during this period).

Rate of pay for all posts: £9.00 per hour

You can apply for one, two or all three posts – please indicate on the application form which posts you are available for.

Please note that although hours are available for each of the roles detailed, not all staff will be required for all days at all events, and the amount of hours available will vary.

You will need to work all of the sessions that are allocated so if you are unable to work a particular session (such as for your own graduation) please do let us know.

Training will be provided by the department, which you will be required to attend and will be paid for at the normal rate as long as you accept the offer of work.

Staff are paid for Graduation work at the end of August, Confirmation and Clearing work at the end of September and Registration work at the end of October.

Please complete this application form if you wish to be considered for one of the posts.

If you’re successful, you will be informed by email and exact days of work will be confirmed closer to the event.

  1. I would like to apply for all 3 roles as I feel like I can be a great asset to the university as an ambassador and a role model. I am already helping out in July for open days so that shows that I’m committed to serving for the university.

    • Hi Henry, please complete the Google form to apply.

  2. Please can someone check the Google Form? The first question simply states “Alex Walker” and a response is required to this “question”.

    • Hi Juliet, the form seems to be working for me. Are you still having problems?
