The University of Portsmouth hosts the Gender and Education Association international conference

From 24-27 June, the University of Portsmouth will host the 18th annual Gender and Education Association international conference.

The conference theme is: About Face: Identities, In/visibilities, Inequalities and Intersections in Education.

Nearly every continent will be represented at the conference, with presenters/attendees representing Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia, and Australia.

Keynote speakers include: Professor Emma Renold, Cardiff University; Professor Heidi Mirza, Goldsmiths, University of London; Professor Deevia Bhana, University of KwaZulu-Natal; and Professor Kalwant Bhopal, University of Birmingham

In addition to the main conference (25-27 June) there are two free symposia on 24 June, the pre-conference day. One is organised especially for students and early career researchers (flyer) and one is organised especially for teachers, education leaders, and education researchers (flyer).
