Local Government Pension Scheme

If you are a member of the Local Government Pension Scheme, the contribution rate which is used to calculate your monthly pension contribution will change from this April. From 1 April 2019, the tiered salary bandings which are used to determine your contribution rate each month will increase. The new salary bandings can be viewed by clicking on this link and following the ‘Contribution rates’ link in the “Local Government Pension Scheme” section.

Teachers’ Pension – Changes to your salary bandings from 1 April 2019

From 1 April 2019 the Teachers’ Pension Scheme will be changing the salary bands to the scheme. The table below details the new salary bands. These arrangements apply to all members i.e. both those who remain in final salary arrangements and those in the career average arrangement.

Teachers’ Pensions will update the contribution rates on their website from April 2019 and can be accessed through the HR website.
