UoP Global Cookbook – recipes from around the world

The Global Cookbook has launched and we are excited to share delicious recipes from around the world.

What better way to bring people together than food? This online resource celebrates different cultural influences, provides recipes for tasty teatime treats and connects you with colleagues from across the institution.

You can download the Global Cookbook here

The project was initiated by Hayley Wheeler from UoP Global who wanted to find a different way for people to connect. There are over 30 recipes from staff on campus and overseas as well as the students who are taking part in the Global Chef competition 2019.

Hayley says “The notion of having a document that becomes a snapshot of who is working here and what the food trends are is exciting and will be interesting to look back on. I also wanted it to be a different way for staff to get to know each other, broaden our contacts and get a “human” insight into our colleagues across the University as well as getting tasty meal ideas, something we always talk about in my team!”

Hayley is keen to get more recipes and hopes more people will get involved with the project.

To feature your favourite dish in the next Global Cookbook 2020, email with the following:

  • Your recipe with ingredients, instructions and a picture.
  • Where the recipe is from – a family favourite or “borrowed” from a famous chef.
  • Why it is your favourite.
  • Who you are, your course, where you work.
  • A picture of you. This is the important part, the idea is that we broaden our contacts within the University and connect with each other as well as getting recipe ideas…

Global Week takes place 18-24 March – a celebration of all things global. More information can be found on the website.
