Women’s Staff Network

As we celebrate International Women’s Day next week around the world (8 March every year), we are pleased to let you know that, encouraged by staff themselves, we are re-forming the Women’s Staff Network.  The University supports several equality and diversity focused networks that enable staff to come together, network, offer mutual support, share experiences and discuss issues that matter to them. Run for staff by staff, networks are able to play a key role in supporting and developing an inclusive diverse workforce.

Sherria Hoskins (Excutive Dean of Science and the University’s Senior Equality Champion) said “I am extremely pleased that a group of staff have stepped forward to re-establish the Women’s Staff Network within the University of Portsmouth.  This network has the potential to enhance equality and diversity in general across the University, but will also become a great support mechanism for women across the institution. I will do all that I can to support this Network to succeed in their goals.”

Open to professional/support and academic staff from across the University, if you are interested in getting involved in the network in any way, or just want to keep up to date with developments as the network establishes, please join the new closed google community. This will become the primary platform for communicating and sharing information with the network members.

Further details of the other networks staff  and how to get involved with them can be found here.

  1. That link doesn’t seem to work.

    • Hi Nicola,

Which link appears to not be working as they seem to work for me?

      • “please join the new closed google community” takes me to a 404 page

        • Thanks, that’s odd as it works on my browser. Could you try logging out and into Google and trying it again?
