Staff Poet at Southsea PoetryFest

Southsea PoetryFest will be taking place at Southsea Library, Palmerston Road on Saturday 23 February.

Tessa Foley, a Senior Course Administrator in the School of Area Studies, Politics, History and Literature and former MA Creative Writing student at the University will be there from 11.00 a.m with several other poets local to the area.

Her debut collection “Chalet Between Thick Ears”, published by Live Canon in November 2018 will be available to buy. The book features several poems that have been previously featured in national publications.

Also available to purchase will be the collection of poetry for survivors of sexual assault and trauma, “Garden” which Tessa wrote to accopany her sister Anna’s illustrations. All proceeds from sales of this book will be donated to Portsmouth Abuse & Rape Counselling Service.
