New CRM system now live for student recruitment

The first phase of our new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system has now gone live.

Teams in Marketing, DSAA and Global are the first to start using the CRM to communicate with and nurture potential students to choose Portsmouth as their university for September 2019.  

As the system is bedded down it will be rolled out across the University.  By consolidating all of our interactions with customers across the university into a single view we will improve their experience of us and our interactions with them. This University wide approach will enable the University to make timely, evidence-based business decisions. These improved relationships with our customers will be supported by new processes and the CRM technology.

Identified CRM champions in Business and Law will be next to use CRM in spring 2020 as a pilot faculty, before it’s expanded to other faculties.

The CRM will act as a central system for managing communications and relationships across and outside the University. The system will also help us manage our data to ensure compliance with GDPR regulations.

Once the system is fully implemented the CRM will provide transparency of interactions with businesses, potential students and others, reduce manual processes and duplication of data.

UEB have approved the second phase of the project to start later this year, which will concentrate on business to business, alumni and advancement.
