Nominations deadline for Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence approaches

Nominations to put students and staff forward for a Vice-Chancellor’s Award of Excellence close on Thursday 17 January at 4:00pm.

Now in its second year, the awards celebrate those from the University community who have made an exceptional contribution to the University, its values, is ambitions, and its success as set out in the University strategy.

If you would like to put someone forward for an award, take a look at the nomination criteria before submitting your nomination via this short form.

An awards ceremony will take place on 2 April 2019 in the New Theatre Royal to celebrate the winners and those who are making a positive difference to the University and community.

Last year 14 individuals and teams were presented with certificates for initiatives and achievements including delivering CPR training to school children, helping adults with autism find jobs, and students providing legal advice to local residents. A further 13 individuals received commendations from the Vice-Chancellor after being nominated by their peers for helping students, colleagues and the community.
