Your views matter

We need your feedback to help enhance your university experience – to improve courses, facilities and provide you with the best opportunities.

Portsmouth is ranked 19th among UK universities for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey (NSS), with an overall satisfaction score of 88% in 2018.

In response to student feedback we have, for example:

  • Introduced mid-teaching block consolidation weeks for learning activities, such as fieldwork, work-based learning or just catching up on coursework.
  • Ensured that the Library is open 24/7.
  • Invested £1.5 million a year on laptops, computers and the latest software.

You’ll see posters appearing on noticeboards and digital screens across campus highlighting other examples of what’s changed in local areas, such as providing more quiet study areas and work placement options.

In 2019 we’ll be asking you for your feedback through the following national surveys:

  • Final year undergraduate students – NSS from 21 January
  • First and second year students – UK Engagement Survey (UKES) from March
  • Postgraduate students – PGT Survey from April

We’ll contact eligible students in the new year with more details, including prizes to be won.

Please take part as your views really do matter.

  1. There should be more financial support for older students and one that have left support housing to come to university. My course need more ethnic students.
