Lenny Henry revealed as Chancellor’s Dinner special guest

Students and alumni will have a chance to rub shoulders with comedian Sir Lenny Henry CBE and other special guests at next year’s Chancellor’s Dinner.

The award-winning actor was recently revealed as Chancellor Karen Blackett’s third special guest for the black tie event at Portsmouth Guildhall.

They’ll be joined by the founder of the MOBO Awards, Kanya King CBE, and technology entrepreneur Tom Ilube CBE, who was named Britain’s most influential black person in 2017.

Karen herself is one of the UK’s most prominent business leaders and is committed to creating vibrant cultures, energising teams and consistently delivering business growth and success as UK Country Manager for WPP, the world leader in communication services. Karen was named in British Vogue’s inaugural list of the 25 most influential women working in Britain and was recently appointed the Government’s race equality business champion by Prime Minister Theresa May.

Tickets are £25 for students and £45 for alumni and include a drinks reception, and two course meal with wine and coffee from 6.45pm to 11pm on Friday 22 March 2019.

Between courses you’ll get to hear Karen interview her special guests on stage, and watch the winner of the most inclusive student society be presented with the Chancellor’s Cup.
