1st International Conference on the Mental Health and Wellbeing of Postgraduate Researchers

The University of Portsmouth is organising the First International Conference on the Mental Health & Wellbeing of Postgraduate Researchers, in partnership with the UK Council of Graduate Education and the University of Sussex, in Brighton on 17-18 May 2019.

Taking place during Mental Health Awareness Week 2019 and in association with Nature Research, the conference will provide delegates with a national and international view of sector policy developments, insights into the realities of implementing institutional strategies, the latest research into the mental health and wellbeing of postgraduate researchers, plus good-practice approaches to supporting postgraduate wellbeing.

Confirmed keynote speakers include: Prof Gordon Harold (University of Sussex – UKRI Mental Health Network Lead, e-Nurture) and Prof Barbara Dooley (University College Dublin – EUA Council for Doctoral Education Steering Committee)

The Call for Papers is now open, and submissions are invited in the form of presentations, posters, workshop sessions and round table discussions. The deadline to submit an abstract is midnight on Friday 18 January 2019. The conference is part of the University of Portsmouth PGR Mental Health and Wellbeing Project supported by the Office for Students and Research England.
