Deadline extended – chance for students to attend the UK’s biggest undergraduate conference

The deadline for students to attend the UK’s biggest undergraduate conference has been extended.

The University is funding 20 students to attend The British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR) in Cardiff on 15-16 April 2019.

Students now have until Monday 3 Decemberto apply for a place – a great opportunity to meet students from other universities and share their work.

WHAT IS BCUR?

The British Conference of Undergraduate Research promotes undergraduate research in all disciplines. BCUR 2019 will be held at the Treforest Campus of the University of South Wales on 15-16 April 2019.

Thanks to a Learning and Teaching Innovation Grant, the University of Portsmouth will be fully funding 20 students, four from each faculty, to participate in BCUR 2019. Any undergraduate at any level can apply for funding. If any of your students are interested they can apply by completing this Google form.

This is a two stage process. First students apply for funding internally to the University of Portsmouth. If they are successful and funding is agreed, then students will be helped to submit their applications to the BCUR conference organisers.
