Free FA Referee qualification for students

The University of Portsmouth Sport and Recreation department run a Football Referee Hub, and we are currently recruiting students for this academic year to officiate on our Campus Sport football leagues.

If you would like to get involved in refereeing but you have not completed the FA Basic Referee qualification, we are offering students the chance to complete the course free of charge, and pay back some voluntary hours officiating on our leagues before gaining paid work opportunities.

Successful applicants will be mentored by our Referee Activator before accessing paid work within one of our sports programmes. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your FA Basic Referee qualification and gain experience as a football referee, all for free! Students must be able to attend all dates of the course:

– Tue 4 Dec, Pre-Course Workshop, 6:30pm – 8:30pm
– Sat 19 Jan, practical training, 10am – 4pm
– Sun 20 Jan, practical training, 10am – 4pm
– Sat 26 Jan,  practical training, 10am – 4pm
