Talk from KROMA, an organisation who supports LGBT+ communities

The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries at the University of Portsmouth announces a talk by Elena Nikorova from the organisation Kroma, who will talk about LGBT+ communities and their support links in our local area.

Kroma is an empowering and enabling organisation for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and alternative (LGBT+) communities, their families and friends, through awareness, inclusiveness and support.  Kroma operates within the geographical areas of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, which includes Eastleigh, Fareham, Gosport, Havant, Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester.

The national LGBT+ support network are upgrading their digital profile and need input from young people.

Elena is a former BA (Hons) Media Studies CCI graduate, now heading up Kroma’s local digital presence, and is coming to talk about Kroma’s LGBT+ community support links, as well as offering an excellent opportunity for current CCI students to contribute their stories and writing with potential for work being published.

If you are a student wanting to write or tell your story, as well as being part of Kroma’s push to create a comprehensive, cross-platform profile that relates to the local area, then come along to this talk on Wednesday 2pm on November 21st in Eldon Building, room EW1.10.

Everyone is welcome.
