(CANCELLED) Could your child help us understand more about urban living?

This event has now been cancelled. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Staff and parents from the local community are invited to bring their children to a Practice as Research (PaR) event for exploring urban living in the community.

On Saturday 21 July, visitors will get to create and play with puppet makers, actors and researchers in order to build and make a city for the puppets to play and interact with. This will help our researchers learn more about what kind of cities we would like to live in.

The project is Led by Dr Matt Smith who has expertise in engaging the local community with projects such as Sea Creatures in Eldon courtyard and Soundgarden with Somerstown residents. Matt’s research explores how applied theatre and collaboration can be developed with external groups and partners.

The event takes place from 10.00am – 4.00pm in the Guildhall Square and is a free event open to families, young and old.

This project has been reviewed by the Creative & Cultural Industries ethics committee.
