Portsmouth Hospitals Trust and UoP Health and Technology Conference

Working Together:

In this year’s joint conference, Portsmouth Hospitals Trust (PHT) and the University of Portsmouth Health and Wellbeing and Future and Emerging Technologies themes will be hosting the health and technology conference open to all University of Portsmouth and Portsmouth Hospitals trust staff. A wide range of experts have been invited to present on a variety of topics relating to health and technology, including the patients’ perspective followed by Q&A sessions.

This year’s topics include:

This year’s conference has been split in to five sessions covering five different topic areas, these are:

  1. Introductions and overview for the research and innovation vision at Portsmouth Hospitals Trust and the University of Portsmouth, to be chaired by Chaired by Prof Anoop Chauhan, PHT
  2. Collaborative projects involving healthcare technology, to be chaired by Professor Adrian Hopgood, Theme Director for Future and Emerging Technologies
  3. Workshops on research delivery, to be chaired by Matthew Gummerson, Partnership Facilitator for Portsmouth Hospitals Trust and The University of Portsmouth
  4. Other routes to funding, to be chaired by Sarah Duckering, Research and Innovation Director at the University of Portsmouth
  5. Keynote speaker and prizegiving, to be chaired by Professor Gordon Blunn, Theme Director for Health and Wellbeing

When is it?

The conference will take place on Wednesday 13 June. Registration will commence at 9.00am in the University of Portsmouth’s Eldon building. Food and drink will be provided. Places are limited so make sure you have booked your ticket on Eventbrite.

Opportunity to participate:

There is an opportunity to submit an abstract to be presented as a poster at the event. Prizes will be awarded at the event. To receive a prize you must be present for the prize giving. Networking and nibbles will take place after the prize giving.
