Can we take your picture for science?

Research Title: Can we take your picture for science?

Department: Psychology

Researchers from the Department of Psychology are building a database of lineup members that could be used to retrieve pictures and recordings for the purpose of eyewitness identification research. We are recruiting participants who are willing to contribute a set of video-recordings (full-body recordings of you walking towards the camera and turning to both sides + head-and-shoulders recordings + staged theft recordings).

We are specifically looking for male participants who fit the following description: age between 20 and 35, around 6ft tall, average/normal build, short dark hair, and no facial hair. However, you can participate if you do not meet the above description (we welcome females, other ages etc.)!

Throughout the year we also recruit line up members for an eyewitness identification experiment, and you have the opportunity to participate in this research as well. If you are interested or have any questions – please contact the research team:

Volunteers must be:

  • Age: 18+
  • Gender: Either
  • Staff/Student: Both

More Information:

A £10 reward for contribution of recordings to the database.

(Further participation as a lineup member is rewarded with £10/hour.)

  • Dates: 22/01/2018 to 30/07/2018
  • Duration: 1 hour
  • Location: King Henry Building, Room 3.06
