University tuition fees for 2018/19

51499Registry has issued the following information by email to students today regarding their tuition fees for 2018/19 academic year.

UK and EU full-time and part-time continuing undergraduate students

Tuition fees for the 2018/19 academic year will be capped at the rate of £9,250 for full-time students. For part-time students the fee will be in proportion to the number of credits being studied based on a maximum fee rate of £6,165.

UK and EU part-time continuing postgraduate taught and postgraduate research students

Tuition fees for the 2018/19 academic year will increase by the inflationary rate of 3.8%. This rate uses the Retail Price Index (excluding mortgages) calculated by the government. If students are undertaking a postgraduate taught course you may be able to apply for a government postgraduate loan to support their studies.

International continuing students

Tuition fees for the 2018/19 academic year will increase by 5%. The fee increases were available when international students applied for their course. Fees from 2017/18 to 2020/21 can be accessed here.

UK, EU and CI full-time postgraduate research continuing students

Tuition fees for the 2018/19 academic year increase by the Research Councils UK maximum studentship. The rate should be announced in the Spring 2018.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Graham Galbraith is liaising with the Students’ Union to organise an open meeting for students on Thursday 2 November to discuss student finance and tuition fees.
