University welcomes Bangladesh Ministry of Public Administration

DSCF7194The University was delighted to welcome a delegation from the Bangladesh Ministry of Public Administration recently.

The visit included members of the Cabinet Division who were interested to learn more about potential collaborations for their staff with the Faculty of Humanities.

Lectures were given in Park Building by Mark Field, Vasileios Karagiannopoulos, Dean Blackburn and Steve Savage who showcased the University’s strength in public administration, counter fraud studies and socio-legal studies.

Following this, the delegation visited HMS Warrior at Old Portsmouth Docks, which included a private tour with the Captain of the Warrior, Commander Tim Ash.

Pro Vice-Chancellor Chris Chang said ‘We were delighted to welcome the delegation from the Bangladesh Ministry of Public Administration. The discussions were productive and we are following up discussions with them through the Bangladesh Embassy in London.’

The Faculty of Humanities welcomes collaborations with foreign delegations and has previously worked closely with the Ministry of Interior, Turkey and the UAE government.
