MyPort knowledge base launched

The first stage of the new MyPort site, containing all University service information for current students has launched.myportnew

The site is a digital one-stop-shop for information and advice on all services that support students, their course and assessment details plus news and events. Students can use any mobile device or a computer and find informative answers to questions about University life without needing to log-on. MyPort

MyPort is a knowledge base, designed for students and staff to find information about the services in an easy and accessible way, through categories or via search. They do not need to know the University service structure in order to get the information they need.

The portal will evolve and improve the more it is used, meaning what you see today is not the final product. As more students search on the site the most frequently accessed articles will move to the top of the search results. Staff and student feedback will also be used to improve the articles, shaping the content and service in the future.

The MyPort project team have worked closely with current students, who have developed many of the articles and contributed their views on the portal design and structure and two Portsmouth graduates created the portal interface.

The digital site is the first phrase of a larger project looking at how we improve the information and services for students to transform the future student experience. Please do take the time to look at the new site, www.myport.ac.uk, when you need to find out any information or direct students and familiarise yourself with its features. This will have the added benefit of developing the product to make it better.
