  • New round of the Research Development Fund 2014 is open

A new round of the Research Development Fund (RDF) is open for applications from Early Career Researchers with a submission deadline of September 19 2014.

For the purposes of this RDF, the REF 2014 definition is used. Early Career Researchers are defined as members of staff who started their careers as independent researchers on or after 1 August 2009 at any UK Higher Education Institution. An individual is deemed to have started their career as an independent researcher from the point at which they held a contract of employment of 0.2 FTE or greater, which included a primary employment function of undertaking ‘research’ or ‘teaching and research’.  ECR Staff on fixed term contracts and part-time members of staff may apply, but the duration of contract of all applicants on the proposed project must exceed the proposed end date of the project.

If you are unsure of your eligibility, please discuss this with your ADR.

Guidance for Applicants, a series of FAQs and an Application Form can be found at
