Women in Building Services Engineering (WiBSE) event

Guest speakers; Clare Wildfire (L) and Lorraine Farrelly (R).

The University of Portsmouth has teamed up with Women in Building Services Engineering (WiBSE) to organise ‘Women in Construction’ – a networking event at 6.00pm on Thursday 20 March 2014 for budding female architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, project managers or those already working in the construction industry keen to inspire the next generation.

The University’s new Chief Operating Officer, Bernie Topham will welcome guests along with Sarah Davis, Chair of WiBSE. The guest speakers are Clare Wildfire, Technical Director at Mott MacDonald, and Lorraine Farrelly, Professor of Architecture and Design at the University.

This event is the first of its kind on the south coast and is open to students, alumni, staff and industry professionals. It’s not just for women though; it’s for anyone who would like to network with likeminded people and attend an event that encourages more women to join, stay and progress within the industry.

Please come along and show your support.
