Over 55s required for eye-tracking research

Researcher: Dr Nicola Gregory
Time requirement: 30 minutes, dates to be arranged
Venue: King Henry Building

Researchers at the Department of Psychology are looking for participants over the age of 55 to take part in an eye-tracking study.

The project looks to the ability to control eye movements during two simple tasks. Participants will be asked to look at different areas of a computer screen while having eye movement recorded with an eye-tracking device.

The eye tracker is non-invasive and it involves wearing a headband with some small cameras recording where participants are looking on the computer screen.

Participants should be over 55 years old and they can wear glasses or contact lenses.

However, because the project is about the performance of neurologically healthy people, those who have ever experienced any neurological problems (stroke, head injury, Parkinson’s disease, and so on) or have any uncorrected visual impairments, are not eligible to participate. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, please get in touch.
