London 2012: MPC Artwork competition

The Challenge

London 2012 is challenging art students at colleges and universities to compete in a once in a lifetime opportunity to showcase their artwork to the world’s media during London 2012.

The winning students will create 16 large scale (2×2 metre) original paintings to be hung in the Main Press Centre (MPC) on the Olympic Park.

The MPC will be home to up to 5,800 of the world’s press and accessed by up to 20,000 accredited broadcasters from approximately 200 nations throughout the course of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in London during the summer of 2012.

How to enter

Students or their Colleges/Universities are asked to submit a Concept Document no greater than six A4 pages in length and in no smaller than 11pt font in Word of PDF format.

The concept document may be the work of a single student, or a group of students up to a maximum number of four.

All entries should be titled MPC artwork Competition submission and emailed to by 5.00pm on Thursday 12 January 2012.
