Survive and Thrive Workhops for new students

Starting at university can mean making big lifestyle changes for some and may involve leaving home and living independently, meeting new people and making new friends, new ways of working and self-directed study, etc. While this can be fun and exciting, it can also be challenging and stressful at times and it can take a while to settle in to a new routine and environment.

These workshops will provide ideas, suggestions and information about ways to manage these changes, develop independent life skills, stay safe and well, and make valuable new connections to create your own ‘home away from home’. You will also find out about all the support available to help you survive, thrive, and get the best out of life at university!

This 60-minute workshop runs twice during the Autumn teaching block.
