Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences PGR Seminar Series

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences PGR Seminar Series is an opportunity for new and continuing postgraduate research students to present their ongoing or finished work and to get helpful feedback from a supportive audience of fellow research students. The seminars are student-led and offer a chance to network and get involved in the research community; sessions are open to all postgraduate students and members of staff interested in the field.

There are monthly seminars on Thursdays, 5-7pm in Milldam LE 1.04.

The next sessions are as follows:

  • 15 November – Lauren Macpherson (SASHPL), entitled ‘Chronicles of Ordinariness and Domesticity: E.M. Delafield’s Diary of a Provincial Lady and the Everywoman’. He Yuan (SLAL), entitled ‘Chinese fansubbers-what makes them survive so far?’
  • 13 December – both speaker slots still available
  • Full calendar for 2019 TBC.

If you have any questions or if you’re interested in presenting your ongoing or finished research, please email Claudia Viggiano (claudia.viggiano@port.ac.uk) or Beatrice Ashton-Lelliott (beatrice.ashton-lelliott@port.ac.uk), or tweet @HSSPGRS.
