Staff only: Can you help prevent burglary? Try it using Virtual Reality

Researchers in the Psychology Department are currently interested in using Virtual Reality to help prevent burglaries, but we need your help. If you volunteer for this study, you will be asked to wear a HTC Vive Virtual Reality headset, and complete several tasks whilst in a virtual residential setting. You will then be required to complete 4 short questionnaires. Your participation in this study should last up to 60 minutes, for which you will be given a £10 Amazon voucher This study will take place in the King Henry Building, room 1.22, at a time that is convenient to you.

Volunteers must be:

  • Age: 18 +
  • Gender: Either
  • Staff/Student: Staff

Participants must be non-students, and must consider themselves at least equally responsible for security in their accommodation as other residents (possible examples include, but are not limited to: an individual who lives alone; the parents/ guardians or other adults in a family house; an individual living with their partner/ spouse, or a tenant in a rented flat share).
