Research Title: Urban Environment Impact on Health and Well-being

Survey Title: What do you think about your outdoor environment? Does it impact negatively and/or positively on your Health and Well-being?

Department: Portsmouth School of Architecture

What it is about:   Perceived Urban Environment Effects on Health and Well-being

Why it is being done: We do not know what people think. No one has asked the residents what they think about their environment in this way. As experts about their lived experience, they are able to offer direct examples of what does and what does not work.

Who is invited:  Residents’ aged 50 years and older who live in Buckland, Landport, Portsea, and Fratton areas.

When & Where:  Group discussions or interviews will be held at the Community Centres at a mutually agreed time.

This testing has been reviewed and been given the following ethics code: FCCI 2018-005

Volunteers must be:

  • Age: 50 years and older
  • Gender: Either
  • Staff/Student: Both

Cuppa tea/coffee and biscuits

  • Dates: 4/4/2018 to 30/9/2018
  • Duration: This is an ongoing PhD project that may extend into 2019.
  • Location: Fratton and Charles Dickens (Portsea, Landport, Buckland)
