Does having a tattoo affect how you sweat?

Survey Title: The effect of tattoos on local sweat response and thermoregulation during cycling exercise in hot conditions

This study is looking into the effects of tattoos on sweat responses for an MSc study. We are seeking participants who possess a tattoo in the upper body region and also have a non-tattooed region of skin on the opposite side of the body. Participation in the research would require one test session of approximately 3 hours where you rest and exercise (30 minutes moderate cycling) in hot conditions. You will also receive payment of £20 for your participation.

Volunteers must be:

  • Age: 18+
  • Gender: Either
  • Staff/Student: Both
