Corporate Surveillance and Data Privacy

Recent years have witnessed a rise in companies monitoring, tracking and following people in almost all aspects of their lives, in real time. Information such as movements, relationships, behaviours and interests are continuously recorded, analysed and evaluated, with most people oblivious to the extent to which their personal data is shared between corporations and the exact ways in which it is being used. If you have an interest in finding out more about the ways in which big corporations behind social media websites and popular apps gather, store and make use of your information, then you will enjoy this study! Participants are needed for an online focus group aiming to find out more about attitudes around corporate consumer mass surveillance and awareness of the techniques employed in the process of data gathering in the age of technology.
