Leading Transformation in Learning and Teaching

Abstract: This workshop will focus on how to ensure that learning and teaching initiatives and innovations are sustained including an exploration of team working, the development of influencing skills and how to build sustainable communities of practice.

Biography: Steve Outram is an experienced academic and organisational developer who has successfully worked with universities and colleges across the UK and internationally. Having worked in universities for over 40 years Steve taught criminology and social policy before developing an academic development role. He now works as an independent consultant as well as being the Director of the Centre for Recording Achievement. For the last three years he has been the HEA Programme Director for the Leading Transformation in Learning and Teaching programme jointly delivered with the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education. He has published widely about facilitating change in universities.
