Advice for staff affected by Brexit

Staff affected by Brexit have been provided with the following advice after the University recently arranged for Alex Russell, a specialist immigration and employment solicitor from Mills & Reeves LLP, to give a briefing to staff.

In his presentation slides, Alex covered recent developments in this area, giving details of the new settled status arrangements, applications for permanent residence and citizenship as well as giving guidance as to what employees can do to prepare themselves and their families for Brexit.

Alex highlighted a number of key documents which would be useful for staff with Brexit related queries to consider. For ease of reference, links to these documents and associated guidance are included below:

Mills & Reeves have also prepared a series of frequently asked questions for higher education staff on Brexit.

If you have any questions following the briefing, or have queries on Brexit generally please contact the University’s dedicated e-mail address for this issue – staffeuqueries@port.ac.uk.
