Date: Thursday 19 April 2018
Time: 8.45am – 2.00pm
Location: Eldon West 1.11

We are delighted to provide further details of this year’s Employability and Enterprise Conference and we invite all academic staff to attend.

Our theme this year is “Preparing Our Students for Tomorrow’s World: Exploring the challenge of preparing our students for jobs that don’t yet exist where they will use technologies that have not yet been invented in order to solve problems which are not yet problems.”

The conference will provide an opportunity to look at the challenges of the student journey towards career success. Keynote speaker, Christopher Howard joins us to provide insights into life as an Entrepreneur and the journey his career has taken.

Breakout sessions led by academic colleagues and current students will focus on the following areas that will support the employability and enterprise agenda at the University of Portsmouth.

  • “What Enterprise Skills mean to a large business / what might be needed or expected in the future.”
  • “Sharing best practice with regards to Dentin and nest in the curriculum.”
  • The Enterprise Educators Toolkit – A Practical Guide to Embedding Enterprise Skills in the Curriculum
  • Hear some inspiring stories from enterprising students who have used extra curricular experiences to better prepare for tomorrow’s world

Booking for this event is now open. We are expecting this to be a popular event and early booking is recommended.
