National Student Survey: One month in

The NSS has now been open for one month, collecting valuable feedback from final year students about their experiences at the University. This feedback, which is collected from an external organisation called Ipsos MORI, helps inform the University on how we improve our courses, invest in facilities and develop the whole student experience.

As of Friday 9 February the response rate for students who have filled out the survey was nearly 55% which shows a significant amount of engagement with the survey.

Faculties and departments around the campus have been encouraging completion of the survey by distributing promotional materials and freebies as well as organising Course Reps to speak in lectures and explain the survey process to students. Student Ambassadors have also been promoting the survey around campus at pop up events which students have been engaging with.

This year’s survey is based on the theme, Shape The Future and we would like to remind staff to encourage students to take part in the survey so we can gather as much important feedback as possible.

The survey can also be accessed through a link from their Moodle account, or by going online to complete the survey directly at www.thestudentsurvey.com.

More information about the NSS and resources to promote the survey are available on the DCQE webpages and www.thestudentsurvey.com.
