“Diversity Matters” – Conference open to all University staff

Save the Date for “Diversity Matters”, a conference open to all staff, focusing on gender equality and diversity.  The conference will be held on Wednesday 9 May 2018, 1.00PM – 4.00PM and will be opened by the Vice-Chancellor, Graham Galbraith.

This is the University’s sixth annual Athena SWAN conference, and we have an exciting line-up of external and internal speakers.

Karen Blackett, University Chancellor, will be our keynote speaker.

David Bartlett, National Director of the Good Lad Initiative, will speak on “Understanding men’s roles in building gender equality.”

Anna Bull, Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Portsmouth and co-founder of The 1752 Group will speak on “After Weinstein: Tackling sexual violence and sexual harassment to work towards gender equality.”
