South Central Ambulance Service moves Safe Space to Guildhall Walk Practice

Safe Space, the service run by South Central Ambulance Service providing medical assistance to people on Friday and Saturday evenings, moved from Hippodrome House to the Guildhall Walk Practice on Friday 5 January. The idea behind Safe Space is to help reduce the number of 999 callouts and ease the pressure on A&E.

This new venue offers access to better facilities and a more secure setting for Safe Space to operate from and is ideally situated between two of the busiest night-time venues in Guildhall Walk and is opposite James Watson House, which provides accommodation for Portsmouth University students.

Safe Space will also be looking to increase communications about the invaluable service they offer. Anyone needing medical assistance or a ‘Safe Space’ because they are vulnerable between the hours of 10pm-3am on a Friday or Saturday can visit the trained clinicians that run Safe Space.
