What did you say?

Researchers at the University of Portsmouth are interested in the differences between liars and truth tellers when they are interviewed about a specific event. In this study, you will be allocated to one of two possible missions. Depending on which task you are allocated to, you may be required to lie when later interviewed about your mission.  The study will take approximately 60 minutes, and will include a mission and an interview.

Volunteers must be:

  • Age: 18+
  • Gender: Either
  • Staff/Student: Both

You will receive £10 for taking part in the study. In addition, if you are able to tell a convincing story to the interviewer, you will be entered into a draw to win £150. The study will take part in King Henry Building.
