Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence nominations close this month

Do you know of staff or students you could nominate for a Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Excellence? Are they exceptionally innovative, engaged, making an impact?

It’s not too late – staff and students have until 29 January to nominate those who have made an exceptional contribution to the University, its values, its ambition and its success as set out in the University strategy.

Shortlisting will take place in February, the nominators of shortlisted nominations will then be notified to complete the second stage nomination for consideration by the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence Panel in April.

Please see the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence webpages for more information, and use the nomination form to nominate staff or students whose exceptional contribution should be celebrated by the University community.

Award winners and their nominators will be invited to a celebration hosted by the Vice-Chancellor in the summer.

  1. I believe that Sue Roberts should be nominated for a VC Award. I put this down to her ability to step up to the plate of becoming a module coordinator in Level 4 Politics and IR with Amarjit Lahel being ill for term 1. She is also a highly engaging tutor that took the time and energy to learn names of all people within the class in a matter of a week. She comes across as a wonderful tutor and person and for that I believe she should be nominated for her hard work in academic practices and also being a friendly face around the university.
