Speak Up Step Up Survey for students

speak up step up banner 800x240The University opens an important survey today about the fair treatment of students by others, which is central to our values and something that we take very seriously.

The University’s Speak Up Step Up Campaign, which was launched in September, is aimed at supporting students and, as part of the campaign, we are running a Speak Up Step Up Survey to find out about our students’ experiences.

The Speak Up Step Up Survey aims to measure how inclusive the University environment is. The survey asks about bullying, harassment, violence and discrimination, and about the responses and behaviours of students and staff. The survey covers sensitive issues therefore sources of support are listed at the end of the survey.

The survey is confidential and anonymous, and should only take a few minutes of students’ time. The survey is supported by the University of Portsmouth Students’ Union and is running from today until Thursday 14 December.

The survey introduces the Speak Up Form, which is available at any time for students to create an anonymous record of any incident they have been involved in or have witnessed.

The form and more information about the Speak Up Step Up campaign activities are on MyPort. If you have any queries contact Denise Meyer, Interim Head of Wellbeing, or email speakupstepup@port.ac.uk.
