Meet the Vice-Chancellor Events – Global Engagement strategy revealed

62866The next in the series of the Meet the Vice-Chancellor Events is about the launch of the University’s Global Engagement Strategy 2017-2020.

There will be two sessions, one on Tuesday 14 November, and the other on Wednesday 15 November.

Chris Chang, Pro Vice-Chancellor Global Engagement, will join the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Graham Galbraith, at the event.

The Global Engagement Strategy 2017-2020 is the first phase of a two phase strategy which seeks to establish the building blocks for the University and its community to develop a global outlook and for the University to have a global presence and footprint in order to meet the challenges for the future.

In order for our students to have a competitive edge in the future the importance of a global outlook cannot be underestimated and the challenges it presents for us to provide those opportunities will require all of us to work together collaboratively. As a University we will need a narrative on internationalisation and globalisation that encourages our community to be fully engaged in this agenda. At the same time we need to continue to maintain our core focus on international student recruitment. The Strategy underpins the University Strategy as well as the underlying Research and Innovation and Education Strategies.

The majority of the session will be for you to ask questions of the Vice-Chancellor and Pro Vice-Chancellor. It is also an opportunity for you to discuss other important topics with your colleagues. Refreshments will be available.
