You will have started to see our bold new visual identity appearing around the University and this will increase as our implementation activity progresses. Feedback from students and staff has been very positive. We have noticed many wearing the striking pin badges around campus, given to staff during the summer as part of our 25th anniversary celebrations.

Implementing the visual identity

Last week our updated website homepage went live. It has a fresh look and improved signposting, and will be in place until the new website is delivered in 2018. You will have seen the hoardings around Mercantile Building, it also features our new visual identity. The new corporate stationery will be available to order very soon and we are introducing a simpler ordering process. Work on replacing and removing the high and low level signage will also commence over the next few weeks.

The brand guidelines will be made available on the corporate identity webpages soon and the PowerPoint template is now ready for staff to download. A version of the PPT for use on the digital display screens around campus, that are used to promote activities, events and opportunities for students, is also being developed. Brand workshops

Later in the autumn we will be running some brand workshop sessions for staff who produce publications, publicity materials and resources for students, staff, partners or the community, on behalf of the University. These sessions will provide guidance on how to use the new visual identity, and how to introduce the preferred corporate tone of voice and photographic style.
