AppsAnywhere – new way to access your software

The University has launched a new App Store (for Windows users only) called AppsAnywhere. The new App Store allows all staff and students to access University software on campus and selected software from home at a time convenient for them.

You will notice that there is a new icon on your Desktop called AppsAnywhere so you can launch the Portal for future use. This new App Store has improved features, which will allow you to select your favourites, find software by category, and more software will be added all the time.

From Wednesday 6 September MyApps portal will no longer be available and you will need to re-install your software from AppsAnywhere.

Staff laptop users visiting AppsAnywhere for the first time must do this on WiFi by removing their laptop from the docking station or unplugging the network cable before visiting the new App Store.

Guidance on how to launch and use AppsAnywhere is available on Myport: AppsAnywhere (https://kb.myport.ac.uk/Article/Index/12/4?id=3802).
